Special Prayer Services and Meetings

During the year, the Foundation highlights special Buddhist and Tibetan holdays and events with a special prayer service or meeting. Anyone is welcome to attend. All services are from 7-8:30pm at our center.











February (date TBD) - Losar, the Tibetan New Year.
Come celebrate the Tibetan New Year (Year of the Wood Sheep, 2136) with a tsok offering and a talk on the significance of the Tibetan New Year.

June (date TBD) - Saga Dawa, the Birth, Enlightenment & passing into Parinirvana of Lord Buddha.

Buddha's birth, enlightenment and paranirvana - A lecture will be given on the three main events of Lord Buddha's life followed by a practice of Chenrezig, the Buddha of compassion.

The Foundation's center will be also be open at 4:30am for anyone wishing to take 1-day vows (please note that any food or drink should not be taken once awaken.

July 6 (date of observance TBD) - HH the 14th Dalai Lama's 80th Birthday.

Tsok offering and long-life prayer for His Holiness.

July (date TBD) - Chokor Duchen.

Chokhor Duchen commemorates the Buddha’s first sermon and the teaching of the Four Noble Truths. A lecture will be given on the Four Noble Truths followed by meditation.

November (date TBD) - Lha Bab Duchen.

Buddha Shakyamuni's decent from heaven - A talk will be given on the visit of Buddha to his mother in heaven followed by a meditation remembering the kindness and love of all mothers.

All classes are held at our center located at 110 1st Ave, 5th Floor. We sometimes experience technical difficulties with our door buzzer, so please press until you hear the buzzer sound.

There is no fee to attend the classes, however donations are always welcome. Students and practitioners at all levels are welcome.
